7 of the coolest spots on Kinkerstraat, Amsterdam
Kinkerstraat is the street that really has it all. The street has been transformed in recent years and is one of the most up-and-coming areas of Amsterdam. Only a stone’s throw away from Vondelpark, the Overtoom and the popular area of Jordaan, the Kinkerstraat is situated in Amsterdam West. After being super lucky to have lived on one of Amsterdam’s coolest streets, I have scouted out 7 of the best spots you can find on the Kinkerstraat.
Lot Sixty One
Lot Sixty One is known as having the best coffee in Amsterdam. My favourite thing is when I walk out my apartment in the mornings and the first thing I smell is that amazing coffee. Their coffee shop is perfect for both the summer and winter with outside and inside seating. At the back of the shop you will find huge Probat roasters where the beans are hand roasted. Find their unique coffee on the corner of Kinkerstraat and the Bilderdijkkade.
Never has deciding what you want for food, been so hard. The Foodhallen has it all. Choose from burgers, hotdogs or pizza. If you’re feeling adventurous (which I hope you are), then there’s Cantonese, Dutch cuisine and Mediterranean. I would definitely recommend going on to the Foodhallen on a weekday because the weekends are very busy and difficult to find a seat.

Cafe Panache is a classy and sophisticated bar where you get yourself some amazing cocktails. A lot of people come to this bar for drinks and dinner before heading out on the weekends. I came for dinner here with my family. The food is yummy but a little on the expensive side!
We Are Vintage
For all the vintage lovers, We Are Vintage is a gem! You can find great clothing here at very reasonable prices. They also have the best accessories and jewellery, which I admit, I have spent a lot of my wages on.

Absolutely amazing Korean food. Seoul Food is a quirky Korean take-away and restaurant and has cured my hangovers tenfold. The restaurant also acts as a cool Korean grocery store where you can pick up some cool snacks, noodle soups and drinks.
Poke Perfect is the latest craze in the Netherlands. It is a Hawaiian dish which consists of sushi rice, fish and different toppings. Choose from one of their signature bowls or create your own.
You won’t just find this place on the Kinkerstraat. Poke Perfect is in other major cities in the Netherlands and dotted around Amsterdam. This place is also great for vegans and vegetarians and is included in my post – 5 Vegan and Vegetarian Restaurant in Amsterdam
Ten Katemarkt is just off Kinkerstaat on the Ten Katestraat. Here you can find lovely flowers, fresh fruit and vegetables for so much cheaper than the supermarket. It’s really nice to have a walk down the market and the areas surrounding it if you want to find hidden bars and restaurants.
Have you visited the Kinkerstraat before?
